Lodi Public Library Adult Literacy Services offers free one-to-one or small group tutoring for individuals learning to read and write English. GED preparation and U.S. citizenship preparation is available.
Storytimes is a service providing age appropriate stories, fingerplays, songs, and movies based on award winning picture books. Crafts are also available. Toddler Time (ages 1 to 3) is Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. in the Children's Room. Preschool Storytime (ages 3 and up) is Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Community Room. Spanish Storytime (all ages) is Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Children's Activity Room.
The library also offers basic computer classes, cover letter and resume templates, and the opportunity to job seek via the web using the Computer Learning Center. Homework assistance is offered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for children in grades K-8. All of the aforementioned services are offered free of charge and staffed by volunteers.
