This training is highly recommended for foster parents, relative caregivers, and group home staff! Other professionals who work with children are welcome!

Did you know that foster care is a pipeline for the Commercial and Sexual Exploitation of Children?

Human trafficking is a $32 billion dollar global industry, involving over 100,00 victims in the United States. After drug trafficking and counterfeiting, it is the world's most profitable criminal activity. It is estimated that an exploiter may earn as much as $650,00 in a year by exploiting as few as four children.

This new training is specifically designed for foster parents, relative caregivers, and group home staff as a first step in combating the commercial sexual exploitation of children in California. We are working to raise awareness to the crisis at hand and increasing your ability to identify commercially sexually exploited children.

You will leave with:

- Awareness about what and where this is happening in our state:

- Understanding why children in foster care are so vulnerable and how they can be affected by a trafficker:

- Identification of the warning signs; the ability to spot red flags that indicate a child is being sexually exploited and victimized.

NO FEE TO ATTEND - WORKSHOPS ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!
